Outstanding Features:

Why automatic measuring ?

Reduction in labour cost is not the only reason for use of automatic instruments.

Today, conformity to International Standards is a subject with which quality control managers bother themselves constantly. They are afraid of any questions being raised about what they do to keep irregularities in quality to the minimum, particularly if they have only manual equipment, which cannot satisfy the tough requirements set by International Standard Organizations.

With NEITZ CG AUTO, QC managers no longer have to be bothered with such troublesome subject.

CG AUTO comes with calibrated glass test piece (R7.7) and offset function to adjust readings to a known value with the test piece. Test pieces of other sizes too are available as optional items. No irregularities in readings occur.

Furthermore, CG AUTO has RS232C data output terminal. The measuring results obtained are automatically sent out to external data processing devices.

CG AUTO is something essential to products' conformity to standards and data control by computer.

Specifications:

Measuring Object

Base Curve of Rigid Contact Lens
(Auxiliary Functions: Determination of Toricity Value & Surface Quality Inspection)

Measuring Range

R6.0-9.9(Other ranges are available on custom order basis.)

Measuring System

By 2 sensors, set at right angle to each other, which measure base curve along X and Y axis separately. The average of two values is shown on LCD screen of main unit.

Measuring Unit

0.001mm
The value obtained is rounded off to 2 decimal places on LCD screen. (Three decimal places display is optional.)

Lens Centre Dislocation Tolerance

Up to ±0.15mm from beam axis.

Contrast (Focus Image Sharpness Checking)

The ratio between image sharpness at optimum focus point and image sharpness at 0.25mm above or below optimum focus point is displayed as a parcentage so as to see if the surface finish quality is above the user specified level.

Measuring Speed

Measuring results are available within 10 seconds after pressing of START switch.

Display (LCD screen)

Measuring Results are shown on 16x2 LCD screen of main unit.

(Standard Display)
Top Line: Number of Measurements/Base Curve/Error Message
Bottom Line: CONTRAST/Toricity Value.

Calibration Test Piece

The equipment is supplied with calibrated test piece of R7.7 so as to check and (if necessary) adjust readings with OFFSET function.

Offset Function

Reading can be adjusted by adding the offset value of 0 - ±0.099mm

Data Output

Measuring results can be output through RS232C terminal of control unit.

Data Transmitted (Standard):

Number of Measurement(0-999)
Average of Base Curve along X axis and Y axis(2 decimal places)
Base Curve along X axis (3 decimal places)
Base Curve along Y axis (3 decimal places)
Toricity (Difference between measurements of X and Y axis)
CONTRAST (Difference in clarity between optimum focus and slightly out of focus)
ERROR Code

Eyepiece

Monocular
Magnification 110 X
Illumination: Halogen Bulb 6V-20W
Projection Pattern: Specially designed squared pattern.

Optional Functions & Optional Items

Measuring of Lens Centre Thickness
3 decimal places display of base curve on LCD screen
Glass Test Pieces other than R7.7

External Dimensions
