There is already functionality within Medmont Studio to export selected images (and associated patient data) to a folder on the PC and then launch a third party software application. A reference to the image is passed to the third party software application for processing. This action is initiated from a single button press on the Medmont Studio main menu. It would be up to the engineers at Monkey Software to write some bridging software to import the image into their software to be used with their mail merge facility. I would encourage you to contact Monkey Software and ask them to contact Medmont if they need technical assistance with the interface.

The cause of the problem is still under investigation. In the meantime the problem can be eliminated by ensuring that Medmont Studio is already started before pressing the launch button in Sunix.

News & Announcements / AT20P support for Windows 10
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:18:39 am »
Hi All,

Windows 10 has now been released for several months and we are getting more and more of you wanting to know whether the AT20P software is compatible or not. In order for Medmont to make a definitive statement on support for a new operating system we first must run a series of tests which touches on all the available functionality. This can take 1-2 weeks of effort for one of our test staff so rather than test a version which is already available we prefer to test a new version which has other features/improvements which is what we have chosen to do. Although the current AT20P Control Panel software version 4.2.0 will install and run on Windows 10 there is a known issue with the fixation target videos. This issue will be addressed in the upcoming release which is currently under test. ETA 4 weeks.

David

Hi Leigh,

We are currently testing a new version of the AT20P software which addresses the issues related to the fixation videos. I expect a new version of the AT20P Control Panel software to be available in about 4 weeks time.  I will post here again once the release it announced.

Kind regards
David

The Oculus slit lamp camera is not one we have had experience with before. There is a few options available to you to try before involving Medmont engineering staff. You can try to use the File Watcher image source to detect when new images are saved to a folder on the local hard drive. Once detected the Studio software will automatically import the image into the capture window. This will require the Oculus software to grab the image from the camera and save the image in either a JPG, BMP, PNG or TIFF format. The other option is to try using the DirectShow image source type to interface directly with the camera. This will depend largely on the type of camera used and how the camera driver is designed. If neither of these options works for you then please post back and we can see what we can do from a software development standpoint. We will need to undergo a cost/benefit analysis before committing to making any software changes.
Can you post information specifically about the camera used in the SL or about the SL itself?

Medmont has recently released a new update for the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch which fully supports the latest iOS 8 from Apple. To install the update please ensure your device is connected to the internet. Once connected you should receive an update notification from the App Store.

Please report an issues that may come up through the forum for investigation.

Issues/Problems / Re: PMS interface via cmd line interface or exchange file
« on: February 10, 2015, 09:27:15 am »
Hi Stephen

Here is the link to the document explaining the Command Line Mode in Medmont Studio.
Command Line Mode in Medmont Studio PDF

The format of the XML file you pass through the command line is the same as a file exported from MS. The best way to learn the format is to add a patient to MS and then export as MXF. You can then view the MXF file using a text editor.

Hi Leigh,

Firstly thanks for posting your feedback, we really appreciate it when our users take the time to let us know their experiences. We are always committed to staying current with the latest iOS operating systems but from time-to-time we are delayed due to other commitments. I will attempt to make time to do some testing with iOS8 in the short term. I will post the results here once the testing is complete. Sorry I can't give you a specific date.

In the meantime I would recommend staying with iOS7 which has been working since June '13. There are steps for reverting back to iOS7 posted online.

Thanks again.

Hi Ben,

I was able to log into the computer today and install the license without error. I have restarted the server and client and everything appears to be running ok. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Ben,

The error log you have attached confirms my thoughts regarding the problem. I am now certain it is the error related to a timed license. I think the best way forward is to setup a TeamViewer session so we can take a first hand look. Can you send TeamViewer details through the help@medmont.com mailbox. You can leave the TeamViewer session running overnight if the timezones aren't favourable.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the activation key. Can you please proceed to delete your existing license by locating the file MedmontStudio5.lic located in the following folder "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Medmont\Medmont Studio 5" and deleting it. Once deleted you should be able to start Medmont Studio and then relicense using the same activation key.

If the error persists then please post the contents of the Details section of the error window.

David

Hi Ben,

This is a known issue with that particular version of software. This is the result of a licensed component which has expired or is about to expire. If you could provide us with the license key then we can remove that component from your license. We can then provide you with instructions on how to delete your current license so you can start the software to license again.

Could you please email you license key to help@medmont.com rather than post it to the forum.

David

Issues/Problems / Re: How to create baseline field
« on: July 04, 2014, 05:19:33 pm »
Hi David,

A baseline is created by selecting either the Difference from Baseline Map or the Difference from Baseline View and then selecting an M700 exam from the explorer pane. The software will detect if a baseline exists, if not it will display a prompt as per below.

Here you can either have Studio create the baseline for you (based on the two oldest threshold exams) as per the first option or you can decide on the exams by choosing the second option.

At present there is no way to create more than one baseline per patient per eye. Do you see a good reason for this?
You can always delete a baseline exam and perform the same to define a different baseline.

Issues/Problems / Re: Modality and SOP Class
« on: June 26, 2014, 05:34:22 pm »
Hi Rey,
I'm not sure why the server is reporting a Procedure Log Storage modality in the log file, but I think the issue here is that Medmont Studio is not setting the Modality correctly. The test servers which were used to develop the DICOM interface originally did not mandate this field. I have made the necessary changes to the software and it is in the process of being tested for release. I suspect a version will be available in the next 2-3 weeks.

I will update this post when the software is released.

Regards
David
