Medmont Studio

  • New Feature – Added the ability to save Print Reports to a PDF format.
  • New Feature – Added support for the NetRockey4 network based license dongle. This will allow Medmont Studio to be installed into a virtualized environment which does not have USB support. For a fee, existing license holders can contact their local Medmont authorized distributor for a new network license dongle and activation key.

    Please Note; Testing has been limited to virtualized environments with the network dongle plugged into the local host. Medmont will provide limited or no support for uses outside this scope.
  • Changes – Fixed issue deleting exams from the patient tree which was raising an error on some computers.
  • Changes – Removed the cross section panel from appearing in the “Current Display” print report when displaying the Combination View.

DV2000

  • Changes – Fixed problem with panning and zooming multiple images simultaneously. Use [CTRL]+[I] and [CTRL]+[O] to zoom in and zoom out. Use [CTRL] +[LEFT ARROW] and [CTRL]+[RIGHT ARROW] to pan left and right.

E300

  • New Feature – Added the ability to toggle the color map from the title bar of the captured image.
  • New Feature – New contact lens designs from Valley Contax; I-Kone, V-Kone, K-Vault, Lasik-Near, Comfort XL, Reverse Geometry
  • New Feature – New contact lens designs from Contact Lens Laboratory of South Africa; 2-Spec MultiFlo, 2-Spec K5, 2-Spec Post Surgery
  • Enhancement – Added the option of choosing the Video Capture device to the calibration wizard. This allows easy migration from Leutron PCI Capture Card to USB Video Converter Box and vice versa.
  • Changes – Fixed issue applying the “Best Fit Sphere” option when viewing Elevation maps.
  • Changes – Restricted the BC range of the Essilor Continue-Vu contact lens design to 6.0-10.5 mm.
  • Changes – Fixed sizing issue causing the comments/profile/attributes pane to disappear.
  • Changes – Fixed issue with refraction data not appearing when creating a new contact lens.
  • Changes – Remove the color map overlay when expanding an image in the capture window. This gives an unrestricted view of the cornea for the presence of unwanted eye-lash interference and/or tear film breakup.

M700/M730

  • Changes – Ignoring Screening and Age Related tests when calculating initial threshold levels. These tests do not determine actual thresholds and can cause tests to run slower.
  • Changes – Separation points, which appear towards the end of a test to make the test appear more random, will now flicker if performing a flicker test.

  • Changes – Fixed problem with filtering the patient list to a single patient on startup.

DV2000

  • Changes – Fixed problem with disabled image import/export buttons.

E300

  • Changes – Fixed intermittent errors in Capture Window when saving and clearing images.
  • Changes – Fixed issue whereby a grey (out-of-focus) image was receiving a high alignment score and appearing in the preview thumbnails in the Capture Window.
  • Changes – Fixed issue with Max Frames and Frames Per Second controls having no effect on the Video capture.
  • Changes – Fixed issue with missing Cross Section/Comments/Attributes panel.
  • Enhancement – Added Full Calibration option to the Calibration Wizard. This is required for Topographers which are upgrading to use the new Medmont E300 USB Video Converter. A Full Calibration will run through a complete 10,000 cycles and can take several hours to complete.

  • Changes – Fixed problem with Cross Section graph appearing underneath each of the threshold maps in the Threshold Overview Print Report.

  • Changes – While a preview image is expanded during capture, images with a higher score would overwrite the image being displayed. Now when an image is expanded video from the Topographer is stopped and restarted when the image is collapsed back to thumbnail size.

  • Changes – Fixed issue focusing exams which were displayed side-by-side while in Image view.

Medmont Studio  

  • Changes – Fixed issue with missing external patient ID’s after upgrading from version 4 with a Practice Management Integration.
  • Changes – Fixed link icons incorrectly showing disabled.
  • Changes – Fixed issue with remembering the location of the Practice Management data location.
  • Changes – Fixed problem double-clicking export files included as attachments to emails. Attachments are now imported as expected.
  • Enhancement – Added Quick Print and Quick Preview buttons.
  • Enhancement – Added support for the following languages; German, Czech, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and Italian.
  • Enhancement – New comments tab in the Map View allows users to enter comments against an exam while the exam is visible on the screen.

DV2000

  • Changes – Changed the default selection when saving images to “Save as New Version” to minimize potential for modifying an original image.
  • Enhancement – Only clinicians with delete exam permission will be able to save an image over a current version.
  • Enhancement – Eye information can now be extracted from the file name of files processed by the File Watcher image source.
  • Enhancement – New option has been added to the File Watcher image source to automatically delete files once acquired.
  • New Feature – Added a new image source to interface with Medmont’s new E300 USB Video Converter.

E300

  • Enhancement – Date and time has been added to the contact lens nodes in the patient tree.
  • New Feature – Added support for Medmont’s new E300 USB video converter. This new device replaces the need for the Leutron Capture card. Please contact Medmont International or your local distributor for further information.

M700/M730

  • Changes – Fixed problem with prompt appearing whenever a sound is played during an M700 exam. This problem only affected cases where the software was upgraded from Version 4.
  • Changes – Changed the default print report to Threshold Overview Report (Difference from Baseline)
  • Enhancement – Added a prompt when attempting to view a Difference from baseline graph where no baseline has been defined. The prompt provides the option of automatically generating a baseline from the two oldest threshold exams.
  • New Feature – Added new Central 22 Test. Similar to the Central 22A but does not use the spatially adaptive algorithm. Used for fast patient screening.

Medmont Studio

  • Enhancement – Added Russian translations (requires MS Galaxy CD) 
  • Changes – Fixed upgrade issue from Medmont Studio 4 which causes a “…expected 16, got 17” to appear upon startup. Only applies to server upgrades.
  • Changes – Fixed incompatibility issue with the launch capability within the  Sunix practice management system.

E300

  • Changes – Fixed black screen appearing when capturing a live image. This issue was only apparent on systems running more than 2GB of RAM.
  • Changes – Removed additional prompting for an E300 topographer serial number and calibration file when performing exams. Shall only prompt on the first use of the topographer.

Medmont Studio

  • New Feature – The main toolbar and menu bar have been replaced with a new ribbon style menu bar, which logically orders functions into tabs which improves self-discovery of Studio functions.
  • New Feature – Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 database. This overcomes 2GB file limitation of Microsoft Access databases.
  • Enhancement – Automatically expands a patient selected from the patient search facility. The tree will automatically scroll to display all the patient’s exams.
  • Enhancement – The Print Preview option Print To > File now defaults to saving images as JPEG instead of BMP.
  • Enhancement – Exam sort options normally visible at the top of the patient tree has now been moved to preferences. The options can now be changed from Configure > Preferences > User Settings > Explorer Pane

DV2000

  • New Feature – Updated to the latest Canon ED SDK version 2.8
  • New Feature – Added Mosaic Capture Wizard.
  • New Feature – Added facility to view stereo images taken from a retinal camera. Requires special hardware in certain modes.
  • New Feature – Added support for comparing digital images. This will be useful for tracking changes in the fundus over time.
  • Enhancement – Consolidate still and video capture windows.

E300

  • New Feature – A full set of normalized color scales is now included by default.
  • Enhancement – New instrument setup window. Allows management of multiple E300 topographers including the ability to Import/Edit/Delete and Calibrate. The E300 instrument pane hidden by default and now visible by selecting Display E300 Instruments in the Configure > Preferences > User Settings > Explorer Pane > E300
  • Enhancement – Added the eye being fitted to the title of the contact lens fitting window.
  • Enhancement – Added enhanced zoned keratometry statistics.
  • Enhancement – The area under the tear film profile line is now filled-in to better visualize the fluorescein clearance in the contact lens design window.
  • Improvement – correction to the W(-2,2) and H(-2,2) Zernike attributes. For these changes to take effect the attributes must be re-calculated for each exam.

M700/M730

  • New Feature – New specialized Fixed Level and Three Zone print report.
  • New Feature – New CV % – 100 test template.
  • New Feature – New CV % score shown for exams using this new template.
  • New Feature – New Difference from baseline analysis. Improving on the existing difference view, this analysis shows at-a-glance points which are consistently deteriorating over time.
  • New Feature – Added facility to overlay M700 data over DV2000 retinal image. Allowing easy observation of correlations between blind spots (described by the visual field tests) and any anomalies in the fundus image.
  • New Feature – Automatic fixation loss detection. For Perimeters fitted with video capability this feature reduces test times by avoiding the periodic Heijl-Krakau blind spot checks.
  • New Feature – Background color used for exam display can now be customized to each user preference. This option is available from Configure > Preferences > User Settings > Review Pane > M700
  • Enhancement - Added HFA indices to the default attributes pane and Threshold Overview Print report.
