Issues/Problems / Can you apply a new calibration to an old result?
« on: February 14, 2014, 05:10:56 pm »
I discovered my topographer was out by 0.15mm (calibration ball measurued 7.85 instead of 8mm). Is there a way to apply the new calibration to some of the recent results that I now know are in error? It would make life very much easier for these recent ortho K patients to save me having to wash them out back to baseline so I can get a proper starting map.

Thanks

Trevor

Issues/Problems / Re: Newbie Exporting file question!

Outlook security won't let me use the "email results" function. I don't know how to get around this. It will let me email "report" but not results. Says its unsafe.

Is there no way to export the mxf file like we could do in studio 4?

Hi Michael,

When I get a chance I'll pop an RGP on one of my staff and get photos. Or else I'll just pick an existing patient and send you photos and medmont file.

Thanks

I've consistently noticed over the years that simulated contact lens image superimposed on the E300 corneal video image capture is significantly larger than the actual lens placed on the real eye. Doesn't matter what lab I use for the contact lens, Menicon, Gelflex, Capricornia, GOV lenses etc, it's always the case. I assume the diameter of the lens ordered will pretty much be correct.

I'm just wondering where the source of error is and if the tear profile measurements are still correct (and just ignore the video eye image being too small) or would the tear profile be in error too?

Thanks for any comments

Trevor
