fixation light and bowl illumination not working
« on: June 21, 2013, 02:05:45 am »
Hello,

I have a M700 bowl in the field that has no fixation light and no bowl illumination, suddenly, as of this morning.  It was working just fine yesterday.

There are no error messages when the software runs.

Will you give me a troubleshooting protocol to follow in my diagnosis efforts, please?

Thanks.

Hi G,

Please check the fuses and power to the Perimeter.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks Michael,

Both fuses have been checked for continuity and they are not in need of replacement.

The green power light where the AC power goes in is lit, but still no fixation light or bowl background illumination.

What is next?  Check the power supply output?

Thanks.

I now have this same problem. No lights at all, error on start of MStudio.

Green light on power cord entry is still on...could this be a fuse?
How did banoptic resolve the problem??
Thanks

Michael

Hi there,

I would start by checking the fuses. You could also check to see if the central fixation light is on when you power up the machine and if you hold your hand inside the bowl at the 12 o'clock position you should see the background illumination increase. Can you please quickly test both of these things and if there is still no response, take out the patient switch and test again.

Kind Regards
